“What sets us apart is that this company was founded, and continues to be run by people who simply enjoy writing about travel, about hotels, about the romance of taking a vacation.”
— Geoffrey Weill, President
Geoffrey Weill Associates · New York
Set on a private island off the northeastern coast of Sardinia, Isola di Sera is a seven-suite retreat built into the natural contours of granite and juniper. There is no signage, no lobby, no check-in desk. Guests arrive by private boat and are greeted by name.
The architecture — conceived by Milanese studio Lazzarini Pickering — dissolves into the landscape. Walls of local limestone open to the Tyrrhenian Sea. Interiors are dressed in raw linen, hand-thrown ceramics, and reclaimed teak. Every meal is prepared by a resident chef using ingredients from the island’s own garden.
